As with any game that requires wits when you play a game texas holdem facebook poker you need to apply a strategy to win. If you just play with no strategy and wait for the miraculous good hand it’s very probably you’ll lose all your poker chips that you worked so hard to win.

One of the most simple and well known strategy to apply is bluffing, but of course you have to bare in mind the following words – how Abraham Lincon said: “You can fool some of the people all the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all the time.”

So, what bluffing actually means: bluffing is the strategy in texas holdem facebook poker where you have to make your opponents(at least as much as possible) think that you have a better hand when in fact you don’t. To apply this facebook poker strategy you have to think the game very well from start, sometimes before you are even sitting at table.

Here are a few rules when you want to make a bluff
When you are starting the game don’t raise or play agressive, just click the check button until the end or click the fold button if the others are raising very much. If you have some cards in your hand make a small raise and that should be all. Making this the others players from the holdem poker table will belive that you just wait a good hand, so you will not make any move until that great hand will come to you.
You have to do this many times, even if you lose a part of your chips. In this time you have to study your oponens and see wich one is just raising beliving that he is using this great tehnic to win the bet from the table, and if the rest are raising when they have cards in their hands.

Now you know the comportament of your oponents and you can start the bluffing strategy. Wait few hands and when no one is making a raise after the first 3 cards, make a small raise, the other probably wil fallow you, make a bigger raise at the 4th card, a part of your oponents will fallow at this move to other will just fold, when the hand is returning to you bet all the chips in your hand – now all the players will be absolutly sure that you have a great hand and they are not able to win the hand so all of them will click the fold button, and now you are the happy winner of all the chips from the table.

You won once, but don’t try this many times one by other, apply the tehnic from begening, play hand with no raise, raise only if you have at least one pair in your hand and wait at least 5-10 hand until you will raise again.
In poker you can not know what will happen so, if you are trying a bluff and it didn’t worked just leave the table and start it again on another table, becouse the players will observ your tehnic and you will not win again.
After 2 3 time applying the bluff you have to change the table, else you can lose all the chips becouse the others will aplly the same tehnic.

What will you do if you see a bluffer sitting at your table. You have to beat him using his tehnic: just play the hand and don’t make big raises if you don’t have a winning hand – and when they are starting to raise if you have a winning hand raise over them and you can win the hand with the cards or they ca just fold when they will see you raising.

Good luck in the game, have great hands in texas holdem facebook poker.

The Fish Call, the Sharks Raise – or so it’s said

In Facebook Poker Texas Hold’Em games, you will have the chance to see a lot of game play that looks like :”Raise, Call, Call and Call” going on. Here you’ll see the main reasons why you should avoid the temptation of doing the same.

Calling that facebook poker chips raise Shows signs Weakness

Any good facebook poker player knows that, in Facebook Texas HoldEm Poker , anyone that always calls is more like a fish that’s saying, “Yo, hit me with your best shot esse!” Calling hands all the time will just get you in trouble. If your hand isn’t strong enough to raise, it’s not strong enough to play it in the first place.

The one that Raises Controls the Hand – Muhahaha

When you raise a hand you show table dominance, kind of like alpha male stuff, by revealing your serious intentions to your poker opponents. If they miss the flop, you’ll take no prisoners, kill’em all, take everything. Here’s a pretty good example of why sharks raise on pre-flop:

Two players check by in the pre-flop and you raise with Ace-King. You totally miss the flop and a player who limped and then called your raise has 8-8. The flop comes J-Q-5 and you raise again. Most will immediately fold even though they have the winning hand.

As a very short conclusion : Use the force! Be the raiser, not the caller.

Playing Facebook Poker games on iPhone is nothing new of course. You’ve heard about it everywhere, it has been advertised and all that for some while. BUT just in case you missed it I just wanted to make it known once again. Facebook Poker games can be played on iPhone!

If you have an iPhone and like poker you definitely want to play facebook poker games on it.You will want to play when you’re at home in bed before going to sleep as I do, or at work and got some spare time to burn, in class if your teacher is too boring and you already studied what she’s teaching or read that boring book she’s talking about (yea right).

At any time when you feel like it you can just pop out your iPhone and start playing your favorite facebook poker game connecting with your regular account you use on facebook everyday. You can still meet your friends and play at the same tables as well. You got bonus poker chips coming in every day as well just for opening your Facebook poker game on iPhone.

All you have to do to play your favorite Facebook poker game is find the application in the App Store. With you ipnone you can then play as a guest just for a shot at it or you can connect with your everyday facebook account and get in contact with your friends as well.

I will tell you now a small problem that appears when you want to play poker on your iPhone by connecting with your facebook account. Sometimes when you click on ”login with facebook” and get a page with pink rectangle saying that there has been an error all you have to do is update the facebook application on your iPhone.

If you do update and still get the same error try to remove the poker application and install it again on your iPhone with the
latest version. Do be careful what you install, make sure the producer of the application is the same as the one you play on Facebook!

As there are hackers and scamers everywhere online, there have been some clones of the poker game login and launched as games. They basically only show a login page, and when you login with your facebook account they record it and show you a fake error message, later on changing your password or simply stealing your poker chips from the account. So, be very careful!

Leave a comment and let us know your experience with a Facebook poker game on iPhone.

Sit N Go tournaments are very popular for quite some while now.If you get a hold on how to play in this tournament, instead of doing like 90% of the players that join them which is going All In on every hand and loosing your poker chips, you can increase by a long shot your chances of winning the match and a big stack of poker chips along with it.
As there is no “sure thing” tutorial or tip that someone could say, I will only point out some main hints that will help you in making better decisions and hold on to your poker chips with a higher chance of winning the pot. Of course any addition that you feel necessary you can post it as a comment, and I will make sure it gets added in the post as an update.

First off, you should play fewer but stronger hands in early position. For example if someone(most probably will) would go all in at the first hand, in addition before the flop, you should be better off folding and wait for a hand where you can calculate your odds.
In late positions you can loosen up and play more hands because you are among last to act. It’s definitely much better to be in a later position because you get a chance to see your opponents reactions, and thus giving you an idea of how strong their hands could be comparing with how strong your hand is.

Look at the others players cards when you fold and the turn ends, figure out which player was bluffing, or how strong his hand had to be to play aggressive or bluff, always keep an eye out and see what kind of opponent you’re facing. Poker doesn’t have the same difficulty on each match, the players at the table make that match hard or easy. Weak players will give away chips in the face of raises and aggressive players will force you to make hard decisions, figuring out your opponent is one of the hardest, but best methods to catch them with a big pot and win their poker chips over.

If you keep raising when you have a big hand you definitely need to mix up your game, change your play style (call the bet instead of reraise),and sometimes make a bluff to confuse your opponents. You don’t have to bluff with high amounts of poker chips to confuse the other players,so just in case you get busted you won’t loose that much, but you’ll induce them to believe you’re the noob that bluffs . With a next strong hand they’ll think the same and call or raise you even more, in the end making you a winner with a lot of poker chips.

Play tight against loose players and loose against tight players. Let me know if you have any tip to add, just leave a comment, and I will make sure to add it to this post -with you mentioned as author.

Does anyone remember when Facebook officials said they were going to stop the leaking of private data about users? We do!The Wall Street Journal report has found a new problem now. It looks like every single one of the 10 most popular applications on Facebook, including several Texas Hold’Em Poker games, have been transmitting user private information about them to several 3rd party marketing companies.

No Privacy?

The social networking website has of course given a response to this report, specifying they are working to “dramatically limit” the leaking of private info about users. A spokesman for the company admitted: “A Facebook User ID may be inadvertently shared by a user’s internet browser or by an application.” Adding that knowledge that ID number “does not permit access to anyone’s private information on Facebook.”
The Wall Street Journal’s investigation led them to discover that applications were sending users Facebook ID numbers to at least 25 advertising and data-mining firms – mostly for use in statistical graphs and reports. And it’s been happening even to people that set their privacy settings to the highest possible level. Several applications that were mentioned in the Wall Street Journal have since then become unavailable on Facebook, but nobody is saying their absence might or not be directly linked to the report.

FB has maintained (true fact) that any info it might sell about its users is anonymous and that they may tell those companies what a user’s interests are, but they do not reveal who that user really is. And this is where this latest problem lies. In fact, many of their biggest and top rated applications have been sharing users’ unique FB User ID number. Practically if someone knows an User ID number, you can just open the site and check out their name and, in many cases, the names of all their friends depending on the level of Privacy that user has set to the account. This issue is said to affect literally millions of users of Facebook applications. If during the end of 2009 only 15 to 20 percent of Facebook’s 350 million users had ever modified their settings, now with over 800 million users the interest in having more privacy has increased enormous and most users especially the more active ones are extremely strict about their privacy settings.

A very good strategy in facebook poker game is called ”bluffing”, and with this strategy you can win milions of poker chips.

You must be very careful if you want to apply this strategy because you risk, not only to lose your chips but you can lose your reputation in the game as well. This kind of skill will take days to learn but years to master.

You have to keep a few points in mind if you want to pull it of successfully

When you want to bluff you need to know that another player will not try to do the same, because you risk to lose your chips and he will discover that you play with this skill.

A bet or raise should never be based on emotions because another player may re-raise or make a large bet against you to try to teach you a lesson because you took his chips from another round. When you think it’s time to make a bluff do it with no emotion or fear even if another player makes another re-raise, think that maybe he is bluffing too. In the end if you stick with the chances given by the cards in hand and don’t involve emotions you’re mostly at the goal, winning your facebook poker chips back and more!

You should also try to vary your play in the game whenever possible

If your opponents get a chance to read you, and notice that you bet only when you have a strong hand and fold or bluff when you have a weak hand they will change their play strategy around your actions and make you fold after you raised substantially if they suspect you bluff .

It’s good if you occasionally make some mistakes on purpose and change your poker play style because then your opponents won’t be able to label you as a certain type of player that easy. If after several games you decide to start bluffing and go raising and re-raising bets, you will surprise your opponents and get them off guard, which should take them some time to adjust their play to your new style.

When you try out this strategy just make sure that you don’t waste too many of your poker chips. If you want more chips faster just use the button on the right.

In the end, bluffing is a good strategy in facebook poker games, but what other strategy do you think might be better? Leave a comment and let us know!

When you have really good cards, you can check instead of raising. You ask why do this and not raise for more facebook poker chips? You do this because you hope that another player will raise you and give you the chance to raise when the turn comes back to you.

As an example, you are sitting in early position with Ac-Js and the flop is Ah-Jd-6c , you check your two pair, and two other players in middle position check as well. An opponent in late position raises and then comes your move and raise. The thinking behind check-raising is to make it too expensive for the drawing hands, like a flush draw or a straight draw, to stay in the hand.

Check-raising from an early position will also give you the control of the hand. If other players still call you , at least you have gained valuable data about what they are holding, and forced them to pay a lot for trying to outdraw you.

Semi-bluffs

Semi-bluffing is when you make a raise with a drawing hand. You might win the hand right away, but even if you don’t you might hit your draw and take home the facebook poker chips pot that way.

For example, you are in late position holding Qs-Js and the flop comes Qc-7s-3s. This gives you a flush draw with 9 outs. There are four opponents still in the hand and they all check also. Since they all checked, your hand probably isn’t the best at the moment.

Players with a pair of 7’s or 3’s, or a low pocket pair might fold in this situation. Even if someone calls your raise, you have 9 outs to the flush and maybe an additional 6 outs to win the facebook poker chips pot if you hit a Q or a J (15 outs in total).

Free cards

When you are sitting in late position , you can raise with a drawing hand on the flop. This will probably make the other players check to you on the turn, and you will have the chance to check (if you do not hit your draw) or bet (if you hit your hand).

This strategy will save you facebook poker chips, however, this kind of play will turn against you if you are re-raised on the flop. In these cases, it will be expensive, but it remains a solid play since you have collected data about the other players and have a draw to a stronger hand.

There are a lot of mistakes that can be made during a Texas Holdem game, but to keep it short and tot the point we will only present you with the Top 5. Now, in no certain order:

Only a quarter of your starting hands are winning cards

You should only play really good hands, such as high pairs starting at 10|10, or many other promising cards, such as QJ, AK, you can learn more about texas holdem poker starting hands here.

Facebook Poker Players tend to call weak hands

You should only call bets if this significantly improves your winning chances. If you have strong adversaries, you should always check with low and medium pairs.

Playing by “feeling” rather than by cards and situations

Many new players play hands because they have a “feeling” about it , WRONG!!!. Holdem poker is a exact and accurate game , it’s not about guessing or intuition. You play a hand because the situation dictates that in the long term, by playing that hand, you’re going to make more facebook poker chips. Texas Holdem Poker is about Skill, not Luck. You may want to see our article on that, Skill vs Luck Let’s get it right.

Letting your emotions get the better of you

Texas Holdem poker can be a stressful game. If you lose a couple of hands and start to let your emotions dominates you, for sure you’re going to start making bad decisions. Every time you act based on emotion, rather than rational thought, you’re making a mistake. Get your mind clear, think only of the game you’re playing. If you had enough and see yourself give in to emotions, take a brake, take your mind of the game now. Keep fit, stay sharp, play better poker

Try not to ignore your adversaries

Observe your opponents playing habits closely. Collecting data is very useful and significant . Don’t ignore past bets in the round, as a bet and a future raise usually denote that your adversary has powerful cards. Do ignore however taunts to make you call the flop, or other comments that make you doubt your hand. On the other hand, if a player has no reaction or lacks of communication ask yourself Is your opponent a poker bot? Some may look like that if we take into consideration the ALL IN phenomenon that takes place in facebook poker. We’ll discuss about this in a future article.

Just in case you missed it, Zynga Texas HoldEm Poker has withdrawn from Bebo last month and has announced closing on Myspace as well since 15 November.

Well now, I’m not saying that the old style application of Zynga’s Texas HoldEm Poker was very awesome, in fact not at all, it was horrible! Not to mention the slow and sometimes laggy response(ever lost a pot of poker chips because of that?), and the absence of a lot of features that can be found on the new style application of Zynga’s Texas HoldEm Poker like on Facebook or Yahoo.

Even so that old style application will be missed by the nostalgic players that have been playing since the game has first showed up on these Social Networks and captivated so many people who didn’t even had to have too much knowledge of poker to be able to play.

Does this mean I won’t be able to play my poker game at work!?

If you already have an account on Bebo or Myspace with the game added, rest assured you will still be able to play with no problem – until when this is going to be available we don’t know yet, if you have any hint, don’t be shy and let us all know. But for all new players that will want to add this great game on Bebo and Myspace the gates will be closed!

R.I.P. Old Style Zynga Poker.
